Highland Mountain Bike Park to Host the Freeride Mountain Bike Association Spring Training presented by Ayr Academy -June 13th - 16th, 2012-

(Northfield, NH)—Highland Mountain Bike Park has partnered with the Freeride Mountain Bike Association (FMBA) to host the first ever “FMB Spring Training Camp presented by Ayr Academy”.

Freeride Mountain Bike Spring Training is an invite only event for current FMBA Pro level members. Participants will have exclusive access to Highland’s training facilities for three days of uninterrupted practice.

Highland’s facilities have always been a pro circuit favorite, including a foam pit, resi ramp, 2 dirt jump parks, Claymore Challenge Course and new 50x50 Bag Jump.  Dubbed “The Ayr Bag” the new addition to the Highland campus will make its debut during Spring Training and open to the public on Saturday, June 16th.

“Highland is one of my favorite places to ride and train,” says GT Pro Rider Kyle Strait. “I coach Ayr Academy and compete at Claymore- basically I will take any opportunity to travel to NH and the fishing in McCaul’s Pond is really good too.”

The FMB World Tour is in its 3rd year and since its inception the level of riding and talent has increased tremendously. There’s a key reason for the rapid progression; athletes around the globe have had to step up their competitive game in their bid for World Tour points and Champion’s title.

“The development of training facility infrastructure goes hand in hand with the athlete progression!” explains FMBA representative Marcus Fischer, “We know that this training camp will help the riders improve and prepare for the second half of the season in a familiar atmosphere. That’s the spirit of the FMBA – supporting athletes as well as we can!”
