Gregg’s Greenlake Cycle first opened it’s doors in 1932 under the direction of R.V. Gregg. Today Gregg’s Cycles remains under the ownership of the third generation of the Gregg family. The business has expanded from it’s original location at Greenlake to now include locations in Bellevue and on Aurora Avenue North. In 1983 Gregg’s Bellevue Cycle was opened to address the growing market in the suburbs of the Eastside. Gregg’s Bellevue Cycle is currently the largest bicycle shop on the Eastside. In 1987 Gregg’s Cycles purchased Aurora Cycle which was established by the McAllister family in 1937. Early in 2007 we closed the doors on Aurora and expanded into Lynnwood. Gregg’s Alderwood Cycle opened it’s doors on February 6th of 2007 and starts a new chapter in a history that spans more than 75 years.

For nearly 13 years, Cyclepath has been proud to call beautiful Portland, OR home. Each day we bike to work past an endless array of coffee roasters, brew pubs, restaurants and myriad other small businesses that seek to push the limits of their respective craft. Not to mention the world renowned bicycle frame builders and parts manufacturers like Vanilla and Chris King. Neighbors like these make Portland the ideal setting for a small shop with the motto “Custom Bike Love” to flourish.

At Cyclepath, we believe that building and maintaining bicycles is really as much art as science. It’s about choosing the right components, understanding the rider’s preferences and personality, and building a bike for the individual. Along the way, we make sure that everything is done as sustainably as possible. The end result is a testament to craftsmanship – as much a means of transportation as it is a source of inspiration.

Trail Head Core Values & Beliefs
1. We insist on giving our best effort in everything we undertake. Furthermore, we see a difference between “good mistakes” (imperfect results despite our best efforts) and “bad mistakes” (bad results because of sloppiness or lack of effort).
2. We believe there is no such thing as a good price on a bad bike or bike product.
3. In all our dealings, we strive to be friendly and courteous.
4. We make commitments with care and then endeavor always to live up to them. In all things, we try to do what we say we’re going to do.
5. Work is an important part of our lives: It should be fun. Being good business people does not mean being stuffy and boring.
6. We love to compete, and we believe that competition brings out the best in us.
7. We recognize that life is a limited time offer for which there is no dress rehearsal.
8. We believe that the world would be a better place if everyone, just once in their life, raced mountain bikes.
9. We believe all of us should join and support IMBA; that working with them is our best hope for keeping trails open. Further, we believe that participating in trail work makes all of us better riders.
10. We know it’s been a great ride when afterward we can still hear the whisper of our tires on the trail. One of the best things about bikes is that they (and BOB trailers) allow us to venture far away from our normal lives (and sometimes stay even further out).

And last, but not least …
Ride Hard: Take Chances!

You’re welcome to watch us fix your machine, ask questions about the work we’re doing or have a cup of coffee while enjoying a cycling video in our customer lounge.
