Winter Riders Rejoice! Intense Intruder is the winter muddy trail Pinnacle of Off-season Tires. With an ITS Intense Tire System’s “Intruder” 26×2.50 – featuring Double Ply LSG Casing, FRO Grade SR Compound (For Race Only), and Sticky Rubber all in a folding bead with ITS’ Pinch Flat Bumper which was more than enough to get us stoked for a muddy winter ride in our slippery Freehub home of the evergreen, yet everwet, state of Washington. Tappered Lugs with spacing just wide enough to shed mud quickly, but still close enough down the center of the tire to keep the speed up when the trail got dry. The Pinch Flat Bumper is an insert added between the bead and the tread to reduce chances of pinch flatting and provide additional support at lower tire pressures. (AWESOME!) We found this to be the Intruder’s “high five” feature as the low tire pressures allowed the tire to roll over and hug to roots and rocks better than any tire we’ve ridden.
